Palmyra

Experience Palmyra – a flourishing trading hub in the heart of the Syrian desert, situated between the Roman Empire in the west and the Parthian Empire in the east. As a pivotal crossroad for international trade routes, the city developed a strong local identity in close connection with the wider world. On this guided tour we explore the Glyptotek's exceptional collection of Palmyrene funerary portraits – the largest of its kind outside Syria – and get closer to the people who lived, died, and were remembered in the thriving desert city.

Booking and Prices

Please book the tour no later than 14 days in advance through the website. This private tour costs 1.100 DKK The price does not include admission to the museum. You can choose to pay by EAN number or credit card. Payment is only processed after the tour has ended, but the payment method must be provided when booking.

Please note that groups must arrive and pay together in order to receive the group discount on admission.
