Textilskolen, based in Holte, is a design school for young people, with a focus on design, sustainability and craftsmanship. Combining creative practice with strong technical skills, the school serves as a stepping stone for many students pursuing further education in design, architecture and the arts.

Inspired by the Glyptotek’s exhibition Power and Fashion in the Roman Empire, a new generation of emerging designers from Textilskolen explores clothing as a marker of power, status and belonging.
Using the suit as an archetypal starting point, the students experiment with existing materials, textile techniques and transformations. Historical and contemporary symbols collide, shift and take on striking new meanings.
Against the backdrop of the Glyptotek’s classical surroundings, a contemporary and experimental fashion show takes over the space. Bodies, garments and movement meet sculpture and history in a presentation that challenges conventions of both fashion and power.
