Gender and Sexuality in Antiquity. Copenhagen Pride at The Glyptotek
Thursday 14 August

Celebrate Copenhagen Pride with a tour of the Glyptotek and experience some of our sculptures in a new light as we explore the sexual stories and mythological figures of antiquity.
On the tour, we take a contemporary look at a selection of the Glyptotek's ancient sculptures and their stories. We delve into the interesting – and often ambiguous – gender roles and sexual orientations that characterized many of the mythological figures of antiquity. And you can learn more about how ‘gender’ and ‘sexuality’ was explored by both gods and mortals in antiquity. Time The guided tour at 5 and 6 pm will be in Danish.
