Every Thursday throughout the summer from 5:00–8:30 PM.

Join us for Thursday drinks on the Glyptotek’s rooftop terrace

The founder of the Museum, Brewer Jacobsen wanted the Glyptotek to bring a little piece of Paris to Copenhagen. That’s why French snacks and drinks are on the menu, accompanied by French tunes from the speakers. We look forward to welcoming you to the rooftop terrace with delicious refreshments and views over Tivoli and the city’s rooftops.

Tickets

To join Rooftop Thursdays all you need is a regular admission ticket or an annual pass to the Glyptotek —no seat reservations or special tickets are required. You’re free to come and go as you like within the event hours, from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM.

About Rooftop Thursdays

Rooftop Thursdays is the Glyptotek’s summer bar on the museum’s rooftop terrace. The bar is open every Thursday from May 7 th to August 27 th.

Please note that the bar’s opening hours may change from day to day depending on the weather.

We decide whether to open by the day before, based on the weather forecast. As forecasts aren’t always accurate, the bar may occasionally stay closed even if the weather turns out better than expected.

For this reason, opening hours are indicative only, as we adjust operations on an ongoing basis according to the weather — also with consideration for our staff.

In case of bad weather, you’re welcome to visit the museum café by the Winter Garden instead.

Practical

An elevator is available to the rooftop terrace, but there are an additional ten steps up to the bar.

There is a limited number of seats on the rooftop terrace. Information on accessibility with wheelchairs, companion scheme, etc. can be found here.

Picnic on the rooftop

Every weekend in May and June, you can also enjoy refreshments from Café Picnic on the rooftop terrace – during the day as well!

The café is open Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
