Experience a magical evening in the Glyptotek's Winter Garden, where stories and art meet. Children and their adults are invited to explore together.
Between the plants in the Winter Garden stand five sarcophagi. These are stone coffins that the Romans put their dead in. They are carved with characters, animals, monsters and symbols that meant something to the deceased and the survivors. Fortunately, there are no dead Romans in the sarcophagi anymore, but the pictures on the outside tell lots of stories about life back then. At Family Culture Night we will explore the sarcophagi, and you can try to draw your own sarcophagus design.
We will roll out carpets on the floor, and you will be given drawing materials and headphones. The activity will be in Danish, but everybody are welcome in the Winter Garden.
If you get hungry, you can visit the Glyptoteket café, which offers dinner for both young and old.
