Autumn break at the Glyptotek
Every day during the autumn break from 11-19 October.

Create magical beaded nets during the autumn break!
Strange things are happening at the Glyptotek.
In the Winter Garden, large plastic nets are hanging amongst the greenery, and in the Central Hall, plastic palm trees are growing.
It’s the artist Alia Farid at work – and inspired by her pieces, we invite everyone to create magical and colourful beaded nets during the autumn break.
The ancient Egyptians made magical beaded nets from faience to protect their dead.
Our beads are made of plastic, but that doesn’t make them any less magical. Learn the techniques to craft a protective net and dive into the wondrous story of how the plastic beads were once living plants and animals.
